Frequently asked questions
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for flowers. As a newbie in the floral industry, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence and sharing the latest trends and newfound knowledge with you.
How do i keep my corsage fresh?
To keep your corsage looking its best, store it in a cool, dark place, ideally in the refrigerator. Spritz it lightly with water before placing it in an airtight container or plastic bag. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
What's the best way to care for a boutonniere?
Similar to corsages, boutonnieres benefit from refrigeration. Place it in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel and store it in the coldest part of your fridge. Take it out just before you need to wear it.
How often should i change the water in my vase?
Ideally, change the water every day or every other day. Fresh, clean water prevents bacterial growth, which can shorten the life of your flowers. Also, make sure to add flower food!
Should i trim the stems of my flowers?
Yes, absolutely! Trim about an inch off the bottom of the stems at a 45-degree angle before placing them in water and every few days. This opens up the stems to better absorb water.
What's the best location for my flower arrangement?
Keep your arrangement away from direct sunlight, drafts, ripening fruit, and heat sources. These can cause flowers to wilt prematurely. A cool, shaded spot is usually best.
What if my flowers start to wilt?
Try a "rehydration bath." Re-cut the stems under water and submerge the entire flower (head and stem) in a cool bath for about 30 minutes. This can often revive droopy blooms.
Are there any special tips for specific flowers?
For woody stems (like roses), remove leaves below the waterline. For tulips, a penny in the water can sometimes help them stand upright. For orchids, avoid overwatering.
